We’re back with Dr. Grant- from the library, of course.

This talks features a quick word study on “Y’all,” a rabbit trail which was completely unexpected.

That leads to a brief drop into the etymology of words, and that fact that southerners invented “y’all” because there’s now no second person plural in the English language.

That leads us to this…

Tyndale and others who translated the Bible actually had to create new words in order to communicate spiritual trutths (84 words, 150 phrases). Shocking, right?

And that us into the freedom that sparked when people got their hands on those words!
